Respond to a webhook request

This section explains how your system should handle and respond to incoming webhook requests from TransFi.

Successful Acknowledgment

  • If your system responds with a status code in the 2xx range (e.g., 200 OK), the webhook is considered successfully delivered and received.
  • Ensure your system processes the webhook payload within a reasonable time to avoid timeouts.

Failure Handling

  • If your system responds with any status code outside the 2xx range, the webhook delivery will be marked as failed.
  • TransFi may attempt retries based on the webhook retry policy to ensure the event is processed.

Best Practices

  • Respond with a 2xx status code immediately after receiving and validating the payload.
  • Use asynchronous processing to handle longer-running operations, ensuring prompt acknowledgment of the webhook.
  • Log all incoming webhook requests and responses for debugging and tracking purposes.
