Transfer API - QR Payout
QR Payouts refer to local fiat currency payouts Example: VND, BRL, PHP to merchant bank accounts, initiated when an end-user scans a merchant QR code issued by a domestic payment network. TransFi decodes the QR data and automatically executes the payout to the merchant through local payment rails in real time.
We will walk step by step through the process, from scanning the merchant's QR code to decoding the recipient details and executing the payment from your balances.
Types of payout
There are two types of payouts for this flow, based on the type of QR code being processed.
- Static QR Payout: The end user enters the payment amount manually within the customer’s application after scanning the QR code.
- Dynamic QR Payout: The scanned QR code already contains the payment amount and transaction reference encoded within its data.
Sources of funds for payouts
To create a valid payout, it is essential to have a pre-funding balance available for transactions.
- Pre-funding: Customers pre-fund TransFi primarily in USDT, or in other currencies as commercially agreed. When a QR payout request is received, the required payout amount plus any applicable fees are immediately deducted from this prefunded balance.
